Dear family and friends,
In 2009, I volunteered and photographed at A River Blue, a school providing psychosocial counseling and vocational training to vulnerable youth in Alebtong, Uganda. The work was exhibited in New York, collected by the Library of Congress and the Museum of Modern Art, and raised over $10,000 for A River Blue. The experience was life-changing and served as one of my primary reasons for returning to graduate school to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
While in Uganda, I lived with a wonderful family that treated me as if I was their own son. One of their daughters, Elizabeth, was recently accepted to nursing school. Unfortunately, they cannot afford her tuition. I am offering a selection of my photographs to support Elizabeth’s dream of becoming a midwife. Each image is printed 8 x 8 inches on archival paper, hand-signed, and affordable ($25 + s&h). One print (or two or three) is the perfect present for the approaching holiday season.
By purchasing a print, you are helping Elizabeth take one step closer to becoming a midwife. Additionally, your purchase provides countless mothers with the opportunity to deliver their baby with a safe, skilled birth attendant, which is a vital intervention for saving lives.
Thank you for your support,
Note: Print orders will only be accepted until 11:59PM EST on December 4th, 2016. Prints will arrive before December 24th, 2016. If you have questions, concerns, or special requests, please email me: email@example.com.
